At Heart to Heart, we believe connection is a basic human need. Everyone deserves opportunities to build relationships, feel seen, and belong. That belief is what inspired Heartfelt Connections, our speed dating event created specifically for the IDD community.

While the idea of speed dating may sound simple on the surface, events like this are about so much more than finding a romantic partner. They are about confidence, independence, and the courage to put yourself out there. They are about friendship, shared experiences, and discovering that you are not alone.

For some participants, Heartfelt Connections may lead to a romantic relationship. For others, it may spark a new friendship, a boost in self confidence, or the realization that they can navigate social situations in a safe and supportive environment. Every outcome is meaningful.

Too often, individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities are left out of social opportunities that many of us take for granted. Dating, meeting new people, and forming relationships can feel inaccessible or intimidating. By intentionally creating events like Heartfelt Connections, we help remove those barriers and open the door to authentic connection.

What makes this event special is not just the structure, but the intention behind it. We create a welcoming atmosphere where participants can be themselves, feel respected, and enjoy the experience without pressure. Our goal is to provide a space where people feel comfortable taking that next step, whether it leads to love, friendship, or simply a great afternoon connecting with others.
